Beyond Chalk is a new initiative aimed at exciting and inspiring teachers about implementing technology in the classroom. We run FREE, interactive and engaging keynotes and workshops for staff groups at your school at a time that suits you. These have been professionally designed to show the accessibility, simplicity and power of modern and emerging technologies in the classroom, with examples and ideas for using the technology across all learning areas. Drift Media for its production support of our Animation Festivals, 2006 & 2007. Drift Media, in partnership with the DEECD e learning Branch, is also responsible for the RE@CT film festival which currently runs in several regions across Victoria. Drift has supported schools in  this type of learning, and has provided teachers and students with opportunities to develop a broad skill set in all aspects of media production. Like the MacSchoolsNet Animation Festival, RE@CT has created an opportunity for students to display their media productions on the "big screen" - as part of a gala screening held in their local area. Student work is celebrated in front of their peers, families, schools and broader communities.

ICTeD Services, offers professional development to schools. It specialises in teaching Information and Communication Technology skills to whole schools, to teams of teachers, and to groups of teachers and students learning together. These skills can include the use of digital video, animation, multimedia, Web 2.0 technologies, and website design and can be integrated into a variety of curriculum areas. The development of school eLearning plans and curriculum design which incorporates ICT into the Victorian Essential Learning Standards, is an important aspect of the work of ICTeD Services.
