Welcome to MacSchoolsNet

Background

MacSchoolsNet is a network of Information & Communication Technology [ICT] educators from Melbourne, Australia, who use the Macintosh platform in a schools. We comprise a membership of ICT coordinators & managers, teachers, principals, consultants, technicians, software developers & industry partners. While we are formally a network of Victorian Department of Education & Early Childhood Development [Government] schools, within its Western Metropolitan Region, membership is open to all interested ICT educators. This website has been developed to further support our members and to establish links with ICT educators throughout the world.
The MacSchoolsNet was established in April 2003. It was formally a network of the DEECD WMR eLearning Leaders' Network, 2003-2008.
MacSchoolsNet runs regular meetings and professional development events on a wide variety of issues related to ICT pedagogy, as well as technical, software and hardware issues.

Mission Statement

At these sessions, participants complete "hands on" sessions, with activities related to specific applications.
• Encourages and shares best practice in ICT pedagogy amongst members.
• Develops and maintains links [without endorsement] with Apple Australia, Apple Resellers and other commercial interests and uses these links for the benefit of members.
